A Summer Training Camp was organized by Sri Venkateswara Vedic University fro 21 days from 20-05-2013 to 09-06-2013 at Sri Venkateswara Oriental College, Tirupati in three different fields viz., “Vedic Mathematics”, “Sanskrit for All” and “Yoga”. In order to utilize the valuable summer vacations, Vedic University has planned for summer camp in these areas which are of high use for all. Dr. C.V. Sulochana (Vedic Mathematics); Sri Y. Ramnarayana & Mrs. C.H. Renuka (Yoga) and Sri B.V. Lakshminarayana & Sri P. Krishna Vasu Srikanth (Sanskrit for All) acted as the Resources Persons. Sri K. Tarakarama Kumara Sarma coordinated the programme.

Nine Sanskrit Oriental Colleges, previously affiliated to various Universities such as Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Osmania University, Hyderabad, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur and Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati were transferred to Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati under G.O.Ms.No. 33 of 2-05-2013. The action is intended to improve the functional efficiency of these Institutions which are meant for teaching Sanskrit. The colleges affiliated are

Sri K. Purushothamacharyulu, Asst. Professor in Krishnayajurveda and Sriman K.H. Rajesh Kumar, Asst. Professor in Pancharatragama were deputed to conduct Pranapratishtha and Mahakumbhabhishekam programme at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Colorado, USA from 4th – 20th June, 2013.

On 31-05-2013, Board of Studies meeting in “Vedic Culture” was conducted in the University campus to decide the various aspects of the course content. Sri Venkateswara Vedic University offers “Vedic Culture” as paper III in second year under graduate courses.

The Board of Studies meeting in “Vedic Mathematics” met on 17th and 18th June, 2013 and finalized the Vedic Mathematics syllabus for II and III year degree students.

Brahmasri Vidwan Dr. Pratap Dakshina Murthi Deekshitulu graced S.V. Vedic University by his presence on 29-06-2013. In an interactive session, he gave his holy message to the gathering. Sri L.V. Srubrahmanyam, IAS, Executive Officer, T.T.D. presided over the meeting. Dr. A. Vijayakumar, Registrar explained the activities and various programmes conducted by the University. The Deans, Staff and Students were present in the meeting.

Sri K. Tarakarama Kumara Sarma, Associate Professor, Dept. of Krishnayajurveda is appointed as the Dean of Veda, Vedangas, Vedabhashya, Modern Courses and Oriental Colleges with effect from 19-06-2013.

Dr. T. Umesh Bhat, Asst. Professor in Purva Mimamsa was deputed to attend a seminar on “Accreditation: Promotion of Quality in Higher Education” organized by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad on 27-04-2013.

S.V. Vedic University family expressed grief over the demise of Sri D.K. Adikesavulu, former Chairman, T.T.D on 24-04-2013.

Sri Vinod K. Agrawal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Revenue (Endowments) and the Ex-officio member of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor (FAC) of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University and he assumed the office on 30-08-2013.

Sri M.G. Gopal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Revenue (Endowments) and also the Vice-Chancellor i/c of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University has been appointed as the Executive Officer, T.T.D. and he took charge as the 23rd Executive Officer of T.T.D on 06-07-2013.

Sri L.V. Subrahmanyam, Executive Officer, T.T.D. has been transferred as the Principal Secretary, Dept. of Health and he handed over the charge to Sri M.G. Gopal, IAS on 06-07-2013.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Mishra, Asst. Professor in Nirukta was appointed as the Professor Veda in Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Ranbir Campus, Kot Bhalwal in the state of Jammu. He also served Sri Venkateswara Vedic University as the Controller of Examinations, Registrar of the University.

Sri Venkateswara Vedic University celebrated 7th Foundation Day on 12-07-2013. Sri M.G. Gopal, IAS, Executive Officer, T.T.D. and Hon’ble Vice -Chancellor i/c of the University participated in the celebrations. Prof. R. Ramamurthy, former Vice-Chancellor, Sri Venkateswara University was invited as the Chief Guest of the Day. Dr. A. Vijayakumar presented the report on the progress of the University.

Several old and rare books were donated by the family members of Late Moolampalli Rajasekhara Sastri of Secunderabad to Sri Venkateswara Vedic University. Late Sastri Ji is the predecessor of Sadguru Sivacharya of Saiva pitham of Visakhapatnam. On behalf of the University Dr. Y. Srinivasa Sarma, Research Officer, Research and Publications received the books.

20 days training programme in Sanskrit Language has been conducted from 1st – 20th August, 2013 for the newly admitted students of U.G. and P.G. Traditional and Modern Courses. The programme was organized as a part of Sanskrit Day celebrations and it was inaugurated on 1st August, 2013 by Dr. A. Vijayakumar, Registrar in Research and Publications Building. Sri K. Tarakarama Kumara Sarma, Dean presided over the programme. Dr. Dorbala Prabhakara Sarma attended the valedictory programme as the Chief Guest. Dr. T. Umesh Bhat coordinated the programme.

On the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda, a Rathayatra organized by Sri Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad visited Sri Venkateswara Vedic University on 14-08-2013. The ratham along with the mobile exhibition cum sale of books attracted the Vedic students and staff. Swamy Raghunayakananda Ji, Hyderabad and Swamy Sannivasananda Ji, Vijayawada came and gave messages to the students. Sri B. Karunakara Redy, M.L.A. garlanded the statue of Swamy Vivekananda and paid rich tributes to the great leader.

The 67th Independence Day was celebrated on 15-08-2013. Dr. A. Vijayakumar, Registrar of the University hoisted the national flag. The staff members and students of the University paid spirited salute to the tricolour.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami was conducted in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University campus. on 28-08-2013 at 6.30 P.M.

More than 30,000 T.T.D. employees, Vedic Scholars participated in the Sadbhavana Rally for the cause of Samikyandhra in Tirupati on 30-08-2013.

Samaveda Upakarma was conducted in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University’s yagasala on 07-09-2013. The students of Samaveda have under gone the sacred rite of upakarma. Sri Girijaprasad Shadangi coordinated the programme.

The Vinayakacaviti festival was celebrated in Sri Rameshwaram, the Administrative building of the University on 09-09-2013.

Srutasamvardhini Sabha for the academic year 2013-14 was inaugurated by Dr. A. Vijayakumar, Registrar of Vedic University on 13-09-2013 in Rameshwaram, the Administrative Building of the University.

Students from various universities participated in the Inter University National Yoga & Value Education Camp organized by Sri Vedavyasa Yoga University, Benguluru between 16th and 20th September, 2013. Mr. Vikranth V. Joshi, Somanath Upadhyaya of the University have participated in the camp.

Gaveshana, a Teachers research programme was inaugurated on 26-09-2013 for the academic year 2013-14. The sabha was conducted on Ashtami of Suklapaksha every month. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. M.L. Narasimha Murthy, Dept. of Advaitavedanta of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati. The programme was coordinated by Sri R. Subrahmanya Bhide, Asst. Professor in Apastamba Pourohitya. University’s Teaching staff members have participated in the programme.

Vignanavici, a knowledge enrichment programme was conducted in Rameshwaram, the Administrative building on 30-09-2013. Prof. Oruganti Ramlal Sarma, Dept. of Nyaya, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetham was invited as the Chief Guest. The Deans, students have participated in the programme. Sri Prava Ramakrishna Somayaji, Convener, Vijnanavici Programme Conducted the programme successfully.

Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi has conducted “Akhila Bharatiya Samskrutabhashana and Slokantyakshari” competition from 27-09-2013 as a part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations. Students from ore than 21 Universities have competed in these competitions. On behalf of S.V. Vedic University, two students have participated in these events. Mr. R. Mahesh, Dept. of Saivagama, Acharya II year got 4th place in Slokantakshyari competions. Mr. Y. Bharadwaj, Dept. of Apasthmba Pourohitya has participated in elocution competition. Sri S. Seetharama Rao, Asst. Professor in Paraskara Pourohitya accompanied the students to New Delhi.

Dr. T. Umesh Bhat, Asst. Professor in Mimamsa presented a paper on “Vedapratipadita Dharmadharma svarupavicharah” in a three day International Sanskrit Conference organized by the Delhi Sanskrit Academy at Vijnana Bhavan, New Delhi from 23rd – 25th August, 2013

Sri Balabhadra Upadhyaya, Asst. Professor in Atharvaveda, Sri Govinda Prasad Adhikari, Guest Lecturer in Suklyayajurveda and Sri N.T. Naryanan Namboodiri, Part-Time Lecturer in Jyotisha and Vastu have participated in a 3 Day National Seminar sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on “Adhunik Yug Me Samskrit Ka Mahatv” organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Lucknow Campus from 13th – 15th September, 2013

Radhe Shyam, Deputy Director, Research and Publications Wing has participated in the Sri Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidvat Sabha held in the august presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam, Jagadguru Sankaracharya of Dakshinamnaya Sri Saradapitham, Sringeri from 15-09-2013 to 20-09-2013 and discussed the topic “Siddhantavyapteh Pratiyogitadharmikobhavaghatitalakshanavicharah” in Nyaya

Prof. K. Venkata Somayajulu, Head, Dept. of Vyakarana, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Vedavyasa Campus, Kangra (Dt.), Himachal Pradesh visited Vedic University campus on 09-07-2013.

Sri N. Murali, Guest Lecturer in Computer Science & Applications participated in the International Workshop on "Panini and Paninians of 16th and 17th Centuries" held from 21st - 25th October, 2013 in Puducherry and presented a paper on Computerization of Paniniya Vyakarana Udaharana Kosah.

Sri B.S. Krishna Prasad and his team members from Karnataka visited Sri Venkateswara Vedic Univeristy campus on 25-10-2013 to study various aspects fo the University to establish a new Karnataka Veda Agama University in Karnataka under the aegis of the Department of Endowments of Karnataka state.

Sri N. Murali, Guest Lecturer in Computer Science & Applications invited as Judge for "Sanganakiya Sanskrit Spardha" in Inter Campus Youth Festival organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi at Lucknow Campus on 27-10-2013.

Sri Bhusani Venkateswara Rao, IAS, Secretary, Department of Revenue (Endowments) has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor i/c of Sri Venkateswar Vedic University and he took the high seat on 29-10-2013.

Gaveshana was conducted on 27-10-2013. Sri K. Purushothamacharyulu, Asst. Professor in Krishnayajurveda; Sri R. Nilakantha Sarma, Guest Lecturer in Rgveda Bhashya have delivered lectures.

Vignanavici programme was conducted on 27-10-2013. Sri Sudhakar and Sri Ramesh from banking sector were invited to enlighten the students and staff members of the University about bank procedures. Sri Pravaramakrishna Somayaji Coordinated the programme

Dr. C. Ranganathan, Associate Professor, Department of Sahitya, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati addressed the gathering in Vedasandesam programme on 28-10-2013. He explained that Veda is the source of all knowledge and various sastras have originated from Veda. Sri K. Purushothamacharyulu, Asst. Professor in Krishnayajurveda has coordinated the programme.

The student centred Srutasamvardhini programme was conducted on 10-11-2013. Mr. Mani Shankar, Mr. Manoj Kumar, Mr. B. Vinay Shukla, Mr. K. Chaitanya Krishna, Mr. R. Subrahmanyam has given lectures on various topics.

Dr. Moulana Abdul Kalam, the first Central Education Minister's birthday has been celebrated as "National Education Day" on 11-11-2013. Various competitions were conducted between the students of the University. Prof. M. Rajaiah, Principal, S.V. Ayurveda College, Tirupati was invited as the Chief Guest. Dr. A. Vijaykumar, Deans, Staff members of the University and Students have participated in the function. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions.

Sri Yajnavalkya Jayanti was celebrated on 12-11-2013. Sri Sitarama Rao, Asst. Professor in Paraskara Pourohitya coordinated the programme.

The students of Sri Venkatewara Vedic University has participated in A.P. State level competitions conducted by Rashtriya Vidyapeetha, Tiruapti on 15th - 16th December, 2013. The winners are Mr. JSVN Chandrasekhar Sarma, D. Harikrishna, Balalnth Kulkarni, Rathikanth Dash, Vinayak Mahapatra, Chaitanya Krishna, T.G. Kishan Kumar, Akshayvishwambharmule.

Sri Girija Prasad Shadangi, Asst. Professor in Samaveda has presented a paper on "Samavede Samajanti" in a three day National Vedic Seminar organized by Maharshi Sandeepani Rashtriya Veda Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain held at Ranchi University, Ranchi during 21st - 23rd November, 2013.

Brahmasri Kuppa Siva Subrahmanya Avadhani, Principal, S.V. Veda Pathasala, Tirumala delivered a lecture on "Vedamulu - vati mahattvam" to the gathering in Vedasandesam programme on 27-11-2013.

Dr. A.V. Radheshyam, Deputy Director, Research and Publications was invited as the Evaluator in Nyaya by Sri Kanchee Veda Vedanta Sastra Sabha, Tenali on 8th December, 2013.

Geetha Jayanti was celebrated on 13-12-2013. On this occasion Geetha recitation competions were conducted to the students of various schools in Tirupati. 150 students studying in various schools in Tirupati have actively participated in these competitions. Pujya Sri Revati Raman Dash, President, ISCKON Temple, Tirupati was invited as Chief Guest. Pujya Sri Madhav Dash also participated in the programme. Dr. A. Dr. A.V. Radheshyam, Deputy Director, Research and Publications has presented a paper on "Avayava Lakshanam" in SGS Sastra Parishat, Sri Avadhoota Dattapeetham, Mysore on 14th and 15th December, 2013.

A Three Day celebrations of "Caturtha Rashtriya Vaidika Yuvacchatra Sammelan" was organized in S.V. Vedic University from 20th to 22nd December, 2013. Sri Pola Bhaskar, IAS, Joint Executive Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati was invited as the Chief Guest of the inaugural session. Prof. Srinivasa Varkhedi, Dean, Karnataka Sanskrit University, Benguluru was the guest of honour and Prof. Harekrishna Satapathi, Vice-Chancellor, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha was the Special Guest of the day. 150 students from more than 20 vedapathasalas of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh etc. participated in Vedic Youth festival. On the evening of 20-12-2013 a well known artist Sri Singampalli Satyanarayana, Tirupati has conducted a marvelous "Chitravadhanam".

Dr. A.V. Radheyshyam, Deputy Director, Research and Publications has presented a paper entitled "Yushmadasmad Sabda Vicharah" (Nyaya) in Brahmasri Uppuluri Ganapati Sastri Veda Sastra Parishat, Hyderabad on 21st and 22nd December, 2013.

Dr. A.V. Radheyshyam, Deputy Director, Research and Publications has attended Sri Mahaswami Aradhana Sadas, Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Kanchipuram and presented a paper on "Vaiseshika Nyaye Eswara Sadhanam"

Mr. Manoj Prajwal from Queens land University, Melbourne, Australia spoke on Genetics in Vignanavici programme conducted on 26th December, 2013

On 27th and 28th December, 2013 a National Seminar on Geometrical Concepts in Sulva Sutras was conducted in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University. Prof. V.S. Vishnubhattacharyulu, Head, Dept. of Vaikhanasa Agama, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha was invited as Chief Guest. Prof. P.V. Arunachalam, Former Vice-Chancellor, Dravidian University, Kuppam has delivered Keynote address. Dr. A. Vijayakumar, Deans, Staffmembers have participated in the programme. Great scholars from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh has presented their papers on the given topic. Dr. C.V. Sulochana, Guest Lecturer in Mathematics has coordinated the programme.

A three day National Seminar on The Importance of the Six Ancillary Disciplines [Shadangas] in Preserving the Vedic Learning from 3rd to 5th January, 2014. At the inaugural session, the Chief Guest Prof. K.E. Devanathan delivered the Keynote. Dr. Viswanatha Gopala Krishna Sastri, Rajahmundry presided over the function. Dr. Rani Sadasiva Murthy, Associate Professor, R.S. Vidyapeetha was also present as Guest of Honor for inaugural session. The valedictory function was held on 5th January. Dr. V.R. Panchamukhi, former Chancellor, R.S. Vidyapeetha was the Chief Guest. Dr. Chirravuri Srirama Sarma, Rajahmundry was the Guest of Honor of the occasion.

University has conducted National Education Tour for the Acharya final year students from 20th to 25th January, 2014. The students have visited Trivandrum, Guruvayoor, Kaladi, Trisoor in Kerala. Sri Girijaprasad Shadangi, Asst. Professor in Samaveda and Sri T. Brahmacharyulu, Asst. Professor in Vaikhanasa Agama accompanied the students.

The University has celebrated the Republic Day on 26th January, 2014. Dr. A. Vijayakumar, the Registrar of the University hoisted the flag. The students and staff members offered salutes to the national flag.

A 10-day Basic Level Workshop on Editing and Translation was held from 22nd to 31st January, 2014. Dr. A.V. Radheshyam, Deputy Director coordinated the programme.

Prof. K.E. Devanathan has assumed the office of the Vice-Chancellor on 20-02-2014 at 10.20 A.M.

The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.E. Devanathan has presented "Nehinanasti Kinchana" vakhyartha held in Uttaradimutt at Chennai on 22-02-2014.

The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.E. Devanathan has acted as a Judge at "All India Sastriya Spardha" held at Bhopal on 26-02-2014 to 27-02-2014.

On 28-02-2014 The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.E. Devanathan has met the Chancellor and His Excellency the Governor of Andhra Pradesh Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan and explained the activities and programmes of the University

The University has send the team of students consisting of Somnath Upadhyay, Vikranth Joshi, Konijeti Pavan, Konijeti Shyamsundar, Joshi Kapil Chandra and Krishna Chandra Panigrahi to Kurukshetra University to participate in the "All India Inter-University Yoga Competition" held from 01-03-2014 to 04-03-2014. The team was lead by Sri Y. Ramnarayan, Yoga Instructor. The University stood in 35th Place in all India level and 1st among the Universities of Aandhra Pradesh.

The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.E. Devanathan met His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi of Sri Kanchi Kamkoti Peeth on 30-03-2014 and discussed about Akilabharateeya Samaveda Sammelanam (All India Conference of Samaveda) which is going to be held at Kashmir in the month of May, 2014

COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH WITH SRIMAHARSHI RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF VEDIC TECHNOLOGY (SRIVT): S.V. Vedic University entered an MoU with Srimaharshi Research Institute of Vedic Technology (SRIVT) on 27.03.2014 for a period of two (2) years. Through this MoU SRIVT will carry out Research activities in S.V. Vedic University campus, Tirupati in the area of Herbal medicines and materials derived based on ‘Vedic sciences’ and verifying the concepts through the application of modern scientific tools, with specific reference to:

  1. Developing health care products including veterinary care;
  2. Developing Nano materials/metals/alloys/special materials for various applications like for solar energy, agriculture, water purification and desalination of water, electronics, sensors, etc., through ancient Vedic processes;
  3. Providing the Science and Technology inherited in Agama, Sastras and Traditions; and
  4. Other areas of relevance as may be decided by from time to time.

Required infrastructure and financial assistance is provided to SRIVT. Dr. T. Umesh, Asst. Registrar, S.V. Vedic University is appointed as Liaison Officer to co-ordinate between SVVU and SRIVT.

On 09-05-2014, The University is organizing a 15 Day Summer Camp from 09-05-2014 to 24-05-2014. The inaugural function of the summer camp was held today. Sri Pola Bhaskar I.A.S., Joint Executive Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and Dr. Vengamma, Director, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Higher Vedic Studies were the Guests on the occasion. On 30-10-2014, His Holiness Srimatparamahamsa Parivrajaka Srirangam Srimadandavan Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikar Gal inaugurated the monthly programme "Veda Sandesam" and blessed the staff and students of the University. The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.E. Devanathan welcomed the saint and briefed about the activities of the University. Dr. C. Ranganathan, Associate Professor, R.S. Vidyapeetha delivered the inaugural address.

On 31-10-2014, National Unity Day was celebrated in the University. The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.E. Devanathan administered the Unity Pledge and started Unity Run. The teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students of the University have actively took part in the programme. Competitions in Essay Writing and Elocution were conducted for the students. In the brief ceremony that was organized in the afternoon, the Vice-Chancellor paid the floral tribute the great freedom fighter and iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and praised his services for the cause of our mother land. Later prizes were distributed to the winners.

The University is going to conduct the semester end examination for M.A. (Sanskrit) from 01-12-2014 to 10-12-2014.

On 02-08-2015, three luminaries of Carnatic Music received the prestigious 'Sapthagiri Sangeetha Vidwanmani' title as part of the 73rd Sri Thyagaraja Festival of Music and Dance. Sri Venkateswara Vedic University Vice-Chancellor K. E. Devanathan took part as the chief guest and conferred the title on Mrudangam maestro 'Padma Vibhushan' Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman, ace vocalist Neyveli Santhana Gopalan and violinist Parur M.A. Sundareswaran. The Tyagaraja Trust Executive Chairman Sri K.V. From 29-02-2016 to 05-03-2016, Veda-Vedanta-Saptah (Week long discourse on Veda-Vedanta) was jointly organized by Sri Venkateswara Vedic UNiversity and Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Belur Math at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Belur. A 3-day National Seminar on Three Major Schools of Vedanta from 1st to 3rd March, 2016 and a Special Lectures on Chaturveda Bhashya from 1st to 5th March, 2016 were also conducted as part of the programme. Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan, The Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the Chancellor of S.V. Vedic University graced the inaugural session as Chief Guest. A special session of question-answer on basics of Visishthadvaita Vedanta was held with the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.E. Devanathan on 29-02-2016.
